Kicked - Battleye: Unknown Game Version

Recommended Posts

Recently got DayZ and the first 2 days I could launch the game and everything was fine. But the past couple of days every time I launch DayZ I try to connect to a server and every server I try it kicks me and says: Battle Eye: Unknown Game Version.

Things I've tried to do:

1. Verify game cache (didn't work)
2. Checked to see if I'm opt in for beta (I'm not)

3. Downloaded and replaced the BEclient.dll from the battleye website (didn't work)

4. Re-downloaded DayZ from steam and it works for one or 2 games then it just goes back to kicking me and saying unknown game version

5. And tried combining all of the above and still hasn't helped

Any help... thanks

No I have no clue what to do and its still doing it.

My only temporary fix is to verify the game cache which works until the game is close and if you don't close the game, then when you re-open it, same problem.

Download the most recent patch. It worked for me. Hope this helps as I had the same message until I downloaded the most recent version or patch.

Any idea if that would work for me as well? Verifying integrity again of the game to see if that works.. got to be up at 0430 and it's already 2300.. so its about my bedtime will have to see if it helps after work tomorrow evening

Hopefully it does... it just sucks every time, before I launch the game, I have to verify integrity of cache.

Do you currently have any hacks running, or have messed with Battleye in any way?

Often the two things go hand in hand. Must be a coincidence that most of the top google hits are about someone with your exact username hacking and exploiting. I AM SO SHOCKED. SAY IT AINT SO.

Yea what a coincidence, I clicked on the link and clicked the first site but sorry to say that's not me since the last time that person logged on was on july 18th 2013. Anyway. No I haven't reconfigured battleye in any way except download the one from their site and replace it. It temporarily works or sometimes doesn't even work then just goes back to normal. Seems to be a concurring problem with people having battleye problems automatically assume they're hacking. Regardless, I don't see how that has anything to do with "unknown game version" and having to verify cache every time I run it.

Cheers.
