Bug - Living Multiple Lives

Upon switching from one server to another, I noticed something very strange. My character is living multiple lives across different servers. I originally obtained everything I could from an airstrip to gear myself up and loaded up on tons of ammo/food/supplies on one server, then when I changed to a different one I was naked on the beach in 3rd person.

 

I thought maybe I had to start again, so I made my way to an airstrip in the far NE of the map. I get there and I'm tired because of how long the run was so I log off. Today, I log on and I'm back in Electro with all my gear on the life that I had logged off of before. I didn't understand so I wanted to test it. I logged off, logged on to another server and I was back at the airstrip in the far NE again.

 

These are all 3rd person servers I'm logging onto. There is no difference in the servers that I've noticed besides my character switching from one life to a different life. It's annoying because I don't know which one is permanent and which one is fake. And to top it all off, I logged on again and I'm on the beach naked.

 

No, I have not died on any of these lives. It's like there's a permanent restart button that makes me start over and over again.

Read the forums and always the news section. It is there for a reason...avoid popping of hundreds of identical threads (even if it doesn't work, apparently) ;)

Some servers are disconnetter from the Hive. These don't load/save characters. The hive should be under mainteinance right now, in order to solve this problem.

So the Hive is basically where my real character's data is connected to? How do I know (without connecting to a server) if it's connected to the Hive or not?

Yes, the hive keeps character data, position, healt, etc.

These problems with servers are completely new, just a couple of days. You can find a list of servers with problems in the dedicated thread in the news section, but it is not easy to use, servers are listed by IP.

As I said, the hive should be under mainteinance in this moment, so I think that the best idea is to wait for an announcement in the next hour :)

I can tell you anyway that servers with official names (DE 4-123, etc) usually have less problems.
