FrownyKeene 0 Posted January 24, 2014 While the new update may have fixed many bugs along with adding in some great new content, I find that when I swap around between servers when they crash, restart, etc. that I'll start out as a new character. It's not because I'm going from regular to hardcore, it even happens going back to the same server sometimes. I randomly lose my characters, but I also reacquire older ones as well. Playing earlier today, I somehow got back a character I had from two weeks ago? tl;dr - I have like three characters across similar servers, and it's impossible to tell which server might give me which one. dagnome 50 Posted January 24, 2014 Again: Server providers are having issues with the Backend servers which store the Hive character files. They are currently working with the dev team to resolve the issues which I expect to be fixed soon.

Multiplay servers seem to all be on the same hive.

Irenicus (DayZ) 289 Posted January 24, 2014 Learn to use the search function. And also read the updates by the devs. Rocket has personally posted about this!
KamiOfKOS 50 Posted January 24, 2014 Too many people around to expect that, until you figure out almost half of the SA community is either too lazy to check what's going on ( ex. Check official forum under ANNUNCEMENTS ) or just too stupid to understand what's an alpha stage is or find out by themself things. There was some server whitelist problems before the patch too but was like 1 over 50 and maybe was just waiting it s validation.Of every stupid complaint post of mindless nubs i agree only on 1 thing, if it s your first te playing you will have a bit more problems since u don t even know the game, but here a simple solution for lazy ass, join, attach the battery, maybe change your location and relog! Now in 2 minutes you know if the server is good or not.Poor dean lol, how much pestering, he even adviced kids to do NOT buy yet the game since is all but finished and polished.PS @OPyou have 2 char atm and is easy to understand if u keep yourself updated in a alpha game under active developmemt1 is on regular shard2 is on hardcore shardYour 3rd always fresh char is becose u are on a un-whitelisted server.Sent from my GT-iT1k
