Problem with recording (dxtory)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, wondered if anyone had any ideas here.

Im trying to record with dxtory. About a week ago it was fine, besides the usual fps drops in towns that everyone seems to get. But im having a realy odd problem.

I hit record and my fps in the wilderness goes from 60 to 40. Ok thats great thats more than enough, but then i look at a town (a smallish town, not even gonna go into the big cities) and my fps goes to around 25 - 30 depending on the size. Ok still thats fine, its doable.

But then out of nowhere my fps drops even more down to about 19 - 20 after a few seconds and seems locked at this. When i look away from the town into the wilderness it stays on 19-20. I stop recording and fps jumps back up to 60. I hit record again (while still looking into wilderness) and fps is at 40 like when i first started recording.

Question is why is my fps dropping even more after a few seconds and being locked to it?
