Game Unplayable Post 01/22 Patch - Character resets every login.

Don't tell me it's an Alpha. I wouldn't complain this hard unless it was because the game was 100% unplayable for me. I purchased it fairly recently.

 

I started playing on a public sever for about 2 hours and wanted to take a break. When I returned and logged back in (different public server) I spawned fresh on the beach, all of my gear gone. I then tried to go back to the other public server I was on. No luck. In fact my character reset again and I was not my default character. Tried again and again, each time, public or private server, I reset.

 

When the patch first was downloaded I lost all of my character's gear (12+hours, my longest lived character). However rather than spawning anew on the beach, I randomly spawned in a building in Cherno with a character that I had had disappear on me ages ago. I had a bunch of the gear that character had (missing some) and even had some random items that character never picked up.

 

I LOVE this game, Zombies clipping through buildings, falling to my death walking up staircases, and my character resetting occasionally is acceptable, but I would like to enjoy the game and can't at the moment. Please provide some sort of fix for this, I saw I was not the only one experiencing this unfortunate happening.
