majogl 10 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) It all began with trying to install the update throught steam. Nothing was happening, the download didnt even start so i tried uninstalling DayZ SA and then redownloading it throught steam. Having high speed fibre optics net i didn´t think it would be an issue, however, when i try to start downloading/installing it again, all steam does is put up the window with "preparing dayz files for install..." in it with the 3 dots flashing and nothing else happening... Mopp_94 29 Posted January 23, 2014 I had the same issue, on 60 MB/s last night, it happens on alot of steam games, for me at least,. I assume its due to the high number of people downloading the patch all at once, just give it time. I might be wrong, but its worth a try right?
-MadTommy 367 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Have you: Restarted Steam?Restarted Windows?Restarted Router/Modem? I know they are obvious but.. have to be asked. Have you:Deleted Local Content for Dayz?Try..closing Steam... then Go to \Steam\SteamApps and delete everything in downloading & temp folder. Restart Steam and try downloading Dayz.. Let me know if any of this helps of not. Edited January 23, 2014 by MadTommy
Greaves 131 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) ^That, and otherwise, google a bit. If you really can't figure it out, submit a ticket to Steam service. I've had it once or twice, just waiting a bit fixed it for me. Edited January 23, 2014 by Greaves
