Flashlights indoors at night

I'm not sure if this falls under a bug, but I entered an house during night time which had lights on, from the outside. But on the inside it was pitch black, had to use the flashlight and then the beam was so small, it was like walking with a telescope. Very hard to walk like that in that cramped space, had just a hard time getting through the doors just because of that.
