ch33zys4ck 2 Posted January 22, 2014 I think it's because build 0.32 rearranged the way server works a little so, it may take some time to actually see servers that works in daytime since I only see one kind of server (gameserver.com) or something
greenlest 0 Posted January 22, 2014 so what they gonna do for this problem. i can't play night time servers.
Ugly (DayZ) 79 Posted January 22, 2014 even though the name says "Daylight", if the time of day is night, I believe it will be night. I got on a 14:24 and it was day

- Karma - 75 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) To everyone saying nighttime doesn't work for them - why not? If you don't enjoy it, I guess that is one thing but I hear a lot of people either a) flat out won't even try it b ) try it once and quit because annoying/too hard or c) crank their gamma up and play like it's day. I played around for a couple hours on a nighttime server the other day and two things happened - I found I enjoyed my experience a lot more, because a lot of the ease of the current build was gone simply by reducing my sight range and I also experience my first twilight which was also very neat. Just saying, give it a good go - plus because a lot of people avoid night like the plague, you often can loot to your hearts content on those servers if you want to find and test things out. noblue 27 Posted January 22, 2014 because my computer can't handle nighttime -- buildings appear to be glowing in bizarre colors, and staying on night servers for more than a couple of minutes results in the game crashing
huf757 82 Posted January 22, 2014 you don't owe any explanation. You paid for the game play it your way.
- Karma - 75 Posted January 22, 2014 That's fair enough noblue, hopefully optimization down the road will fix that for you.
Proper Gander 45 Posted January 22, 2014 Hahaha to all of the people who said that they would never put the server time in the server browser!

Mostly because I don't want to be stuck in permanent night time. I only have a few hours to play a day and if it's going to be night time each time, it's going to get rather boring. Krylos225 1 Posted January 23, 2014 it seems the nighttime stuff likes bringing peoples GPUs to temperature levels you could fry an egg on. My laptop handles it fine, but im running an asus g75 with a 2gig nvidia 660m and 16gb ram, but i notice the air coming from the vents is significantly hotter on night servers
Proper Gander 45 Posted January 23, 2014 The servers are becoming more diverse as they bring more on-line.
