Massive Lagg at Menue,

Ive just tried launching the game twice now and as soon as i get to the menue it gets extremly laggy. like it takes 30 seconds or so before i can actually press any of the buttons and if i do press one say  configure it takes a couple of seconds to open up the next window. if i then back out to the "root" menue i hafto wait another 30 or so seconds before i can press anything else.

 

and tabbing out of the game seems to make it even worse.

anyone else having this?

 

ive verified files on steam just to see if anything was iffy but nothing was wrong with the files.

 

also if i dont wait while it seems to be lagging balls like that and press stuff in hopes that it will load up it just seems to crash stright to desktop

Keep in mind im not trying to connect to any servers im just looking at the main menue here.
