I was at kamyshovo and spotted a guy lay on the rock at the hill sniping fresh spawns so I crept up right behind him and took the shot but it was just hitting in front of my gun as if there was a tree there I even switched aiming from down sight to off the hip 3rd person and moved a little to make sure nothing was blocking but it still continued to puff smoke 2m from the barrel while the guy span around looking for me then proceeded to combat log. also had this before at same place where I ran up on a guy in the woods put gun on the back of his head and it was "blocked" after a few tries of me circling him while firing had to switch to the axe to dispatch him as the gun wouldn't hit from any angle. its like when you shoot from prone and it hits the floor in front of you but I was crouched/stood for both these encounters. Yes, I've tried that a lot as well. Seems to be very frequent if lying prone next to some sloping ground/rocks, making sniper firing from natural elevated positions a very risky business, as you can't know beforehand if the shot will be blocked or not. BHBDeano 18 Posted January 25, 2014 just done some tests and seem to have found certain patches of grass on hills that completely block the bullets or ricochet them off target we tested this using each type of gun in pristine condition from prone/crouched/stood position even pointed the guns straight into the air and they were still blocked.
