Mosin Accuracy?

   I've heard its been stated in the past that the Mosin isnt all its made up to be in shots over 400 meters, but i just don't see it i made a few shots earlier that had to be farther then 700, almost twice what i hear people in streams and in the forums say the mosin can do. I'm assuming a large part of shots over 400 meters is luck? or...?

If you are prone and have a bipod deployed the mosin is very accurate, without either of those you need some luck to reliably hit at long range.

Well see i was prone but without a bipod, and i was even able to get a second person on the bounce of the recoil.

 

I was however using the "Hold breath" command so maybe alot of people don't use that?

I agree with the OP i have no problems with accuracy on the mosin or the m4, yes its gets less accurate after consecutive shots but i find the first shot always hitting where i aim.

I've hit people 700+ It's not that hard with a pristine scope and bipod. If you know how to adjust for elevation and hold your breath then you can easily make those shots.

I've sniped people in Balota from the apartment buildings behind the airfield, that's between 500-700m

Yeah, if just prone then 400m isnt too hard to hit, add the bipod and you can easily hit at 800m+

I kill zombies at over 700m without  scope or bipod. Point and shoot simple as that. Havn't tried sniping players 'cause I'm no sniper scumbag

Technically it can be done. I've seen shots in real life that was 1000 meters with irons and just a bipod.

Depends if the base gun itself is damaged or not. shame you cant see that with no tooltip, I've started testing each new gun I find to see if there accurate or not and im not talking about attachments

i often hit the ground (in front of me) when i'm proning with bipod... dunno why.

same with m4.
