So today I picked up arma 2: CO from steam. I was so psyched to play Day Z until I got to the installation of it. I'm so confused. I need your help. When ever I try to play on a server using six launcher it gives me this message, "error creating direct 3d 9 graphical engine". Guys, I'm so frustrated. I really need your help. What do I do?

I have a quick question concerning this as well. I have done over 3 different launchers and 2 launch parameter alterations. And still I crash with this message or I am launched in Arma 2 OA with out the beta patch active. Can anyone help me with this? My current launcher through steam is "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash" if this is any help. Thanks for the time.

I just tried it and it did the same thing. Start up with a black screen and then an error message comes up and the game crashes. Could this be due to an installation error of the beta patch?

Try going into your Arma 2 Oa directory and open the folder Directx in there look for the DirecXsetup.exe and run the file and reinstall that directx . that fixed it for me
