Server hopping

It has to go, not being played as intended.....seriously-server hop for guns for an hour, then shoot all the 'nubs' enjoying a great game? WTF. Watching a stream right now, doing just that.....then he ran into other server hoppers and died, over and over maybe? Totally lame. It has to go.

It seems the only thing that can fix server hoping and ghosting would be private hives and I believe they are working on them.

Rocket is already working on it. How about you also look at the hundreds of threads on this topic already before making a new one. Also please search before posting.

That is not true whatsoever.

 

A log out timer and penalty to multiple log ins within a certain time span would help. But it will never be defeated.

Simple way to solve it! Moment you change server, you are back to the start, spawning in a random location && it should take 1 min for you're character to log off. If you move or attacked then the timer is resetted.   Can't argue with it... Brutal but it will 100% work... AND!!! If you do server hop, then you can not go back into you're last server with kit. Pick a server and enjoy ;) untill you die then server hop ;)

I just said it seemed like it I didn't know for sure of course there are multiple things those were just the obvious things I could think of. But you say it will never be defeated I don't think that's true a private hive can fix server hoping. It would also limit ghosting to just the spot the person logged off in, witch could be fixed in different ways like you said multiple login's in a short amount of time.

 

Also like Marc said the random area change when you log into a different server and back.for the public servers I think they thought about doing that or had it in a build at some point for the mod can't remember.

Yeah because removing it would be so much better lol?

 

Run 20 minutes to a Military Base/Elektro/Churno just to find someone else has already looted everything on your server.

 

"I'll just server hop so I can find a gun to defend myself with"

 

Oh wait....

 

 

Also, How would you PvP without server hopping?

 

I play with a Clan, and we server hop Multiple times.

 

No fun camping Churno/Elektro etc and nobody there, so we server hop until we either see Bodies, or hear gunshots.

 

Also, on topic of randomly spawning somewhere else on log in.

 

That is just a bad idea sorry, but I would rather not server hop to my friend to join them and end up in-front of a School/Hospital or in the middle of a street/field just to be shot to death on log in.

 

Now if they added a 15-20 second invincibility + 10 second Invisible on log-in so you couldn't be hurt, seen, or deal damage I would be fine with it so that you could actually run and hide.

 

Other wise no, just no.

 

10 second invisible to hide, and additional 5-10 seconds of no Damage dealing + Invincible so you cant just log-out, log in and sneak up on someone from behind, they would see you for your final 5-10 seconds before you could deal damage to em.

If you have found everything has been looted then that's the point its a survival game not a pvp only game move on and find gear some where else you don't need gear from barracks to survive. They could have the random spawn be the usual spawn points or somewhere in a treeline so you don't spawn in the middle of a town.

I suggest you do the following things -

1. 3-5 minutes countdown for logout from the server.

2. Adaptive timer for login into server. If you first access a server first you have nothing to delays, but adds 30 seconds to the login-timer for half an hour. Within half an hour if you go to another server, you must wait 60 seconds while the next half-hour gaming you will add another 60 seconds. If you played for half an hour on a one server, a login-timer input debited penalty 60 seconds, so instead of 2 minutes you will have to wait just 1 minute. And if you have already played an hour, it will be decrease by 2 times for 60 seconds and you may change the server without penalty.
