*Sigh* Am I the only one that tries to be friendly and dont shoot on sight? *sigh*

 

Everytime i try to interact with other people I get shot without people even trying to communicate, it doesnt matter if he is freshspawn or someone fully geared up. (Some freshspawns tried to kill me just after they spawned)..

 

When I bought Dayz, i wanted to play with other people, meet new people and have some funny stories to tell from this game, each time i try to communicate or even have fun this shit happens (I get killed without even knowing where from, nor no one tried to communicate),

 

When i first joined Dayz community i didnt really care about dying that much, but after awhile it started to annoy the shit out of me, do you guys think there will be any ranking system which could reduce people killing each other and motivate them to work together instead of shooting everyone on sight?

Basically, the game is in alpha state and a lot of bambi players have no idea what they are doing nor do they care. People decked out will normally shoot people who aren't unless they aren't bandits and or are bored. KoS is part of this survival game you should expect it from every individual. To me this makes confrontations more exciting. 9 times out of 10 I shoot first and never ask questions.

Hopefully  things will cool down as more zombies get added and weapons and (especially) ammo get more scarce.

no.

 

either join a RP group that has their own locked server, or play the game as it is and enjoy it for what it is(if possible). KoS/bandits are a well known fact and part of DayZ sadly you're going to have to live with that.

We get upset because we have to filter the relevant and good threads through all this garbage ;)

People get upset with these threads because they're seemingly made at least once every 30 minutes. A good percentage of people KoS mostly out of fear that they will get KoS'd. It's a fact. There are true bandits out there, but most people don't want to take the off chance you will try to pull a fast one on them. It's a part of the game that makes the game as great as it is. Continuous KoS won't stop, but I think the overall dynamic will change somewhat over time. I'm a bandit, but i'm not an instant KoS kind of dude, unless it's quite apparent that someone acting like a bitch in any regard. (or has something I want) :)

 

There are nice people out there, just keep playing and be patient.

 

Edit: The best thing you can do is try to join a group/clan and communicate with them via teamspeak. This will usually give you some brotherhood and a better chance of survival. Don't say I never did anything for ya :-P
