Do I have to Buy Dayz?

Im curious of what I have to do. I was following the site, and it says I have to buy the ArmaII and its like $32. Wanted to make sure before I purchased it. Dont want to spend money if I dont have to =)

ArmA II and ArmA: Operation Arrowhead are required for DayZ. They do indeed cost $30 on steam. There's no other way to install the mod, but trust me: it's worth the purchase.
