Unarmed fighting needs to be severely nerfed

i have been KO'd many times IRL, so i can confirm its realistic and not OP at all :thumbsup:

 

Yet it takes multiple hits from a baseball bat and or other blunt objects in game...makes no sense.

people who die from one punch its usually because they hit their head badly when they land. the punch knocks them out then they fall, the body hits the ground it creates a whip like action accelerating the head, the head hits the ground, concrete or a solid object and its game over, that hit may cause a bleed inside the skull maybe create pressure on or restrict blood flow to important areas of the brain.

 

it happens often, people die on the street from a single punch, its usually not the punch but the head hitting the ground that kills.

in game its my understanding that it takes 3 punches to the head to OK someone who is full blood & no head protection. less than that and its likely the target was already weak from blood loss.

Idk if anyone else has posted this, but aside from the blood and health reserves your character has, there is also a shock meter as well. Once the shock meter gets over 5,000 or so your character gets KO'ed. 3 punches to the face when you are in tip top shape while cause 6,000 shock damage or 2,000 per hit. Now depending on other factors, like if your using a helm and the type, and also the weapons or fists being used adds in more nasty numbers as well.

How on earth can someone KO someone in one single punch, and more if the other guy has a helmet, be it combat or motorbike?

Even if it were two naked guys punching, for it to be a KO, the dude has to be very strong/specialized in unarmed combat, be punching for a long time.

 

As far as it would seem, using your fists should be a last resort for all cases (players and zombies).

 

(In fact punching is more effective against people than zombies...)

This would also discourage fresh spawns to kamikaze their way into geared players, reducing the distrust in them, and so the fresh spawn KoS rates, all in a positive feedback circle, IMO.

They use padded gloves in the UFC and still manage to KO in one punch. Bare fist hits a lot harder than gloves.

Fists dont need to be nerfed. Just melee weapons like Baseball Bat and Shovel needs to be more powerful.  ;)

 

I kind of agree with this if anything. I figured a baseball bat would do a lot more damage than it actually does. A wrench, too? I mean those industrial wrenches could pretty much bash someone's skull in at full force. I think shovels should have a greater chance to make someone bleed seeing as if you hit them with the edge it has a greater chance to do more lacerating damage. Maybe not an instant KO, but it could easily make someone bleed a little.
