Idea for vehicles

This is mainly targeted towards armed vehicles. Instead of helis armed and jeeps(cars or suvs even personnel carriers such as a ural) make it so we can fire from the vehicles, this would greatly reduce armed vehicle abuse.

This will probably get worked on when they rework on the vehicles from scratch. The tech for the vehicles is about 10 years old so this sets a lot of limits for them and the reason why it'll be redone for the appropriate engine and quality requirements.

I don't think they will add the "drive by" feature.

Scenario 1 :

 

A car or quad bike, anything is driving past you at fast speed, 2 people shoot you trough the windows.

 

Not a lot of people can take out a driver and 2 passengers of a car which is driving fast.

 

Scenario 2 :

 

You are looting a city.

 

A car is driving by, it stops, distracting you. 

 

The windows are tinted.

 

You shoot the at the driver seat

 

"You Are Dead"

 

2 people just shot you from the back seats.

Well the issue with DayZ mod everyone really only went after armed helis, due to that anyone with an armed heli would just fly up and down the coast killing everyone.

Thing is though a stopped vehicle an easy target anyone with half a brain would keep on the move.

What about only being able to fire from open veh's. Like from a boat or the back of a truck or as HH suggested a atv or bike. I think they should make boats a lot better then they were in the mod. In the mod when you see a boat you pass it by not taking a second glance. But in a real situation if you had a working boat you would be doing pretty good for your self. A lot of boats have sleeping areas and facilities, it would be nice to be able to store your gear in a boat and use it as a mobile base.

 

Could they possibly make it so you could actually log out on the boat out on the water. It would also be really interesting if they could make it so you could walk around the boat.
