Maps would be litterd with notes lol and pointless ones.

Like the fox hole idea though that's cool never enough storage

I think if he bound them to tents or vehicles, they would be fine. Also, there can be a server side limit and plugins to prevent trolling like in Minecraft. Also, its a piece of paper. Step outside the box and think about how insignificant they could be in proportion to the size of the map. ;)
