Are yer usin alcohol tincture...

Recommended Posts

I used it on my first life, and I noticed I had the "sick" notification on my character screen. I haven't used it since. No real point to it, unless you want to force feed some-one, if that's your kind of thing.

You use it to sterilize wounds, like you use disinfectant spray to clean things before using them for medical reasons.  Or you're 14 years old, and force feed it to other players, because that certainly takes skill and isn't played out.

I was trying to get the "healthy" status, and it was never coming. I thought it was the wounds, because my character was doing those strange sounds (some I didn't know humans could do) like "Ughnzaddsd", "Härk shncjaskdg!" and "Sssssss Ahhaarhf...". after I used the alcohol to "Clean Wounds" I received the "Sick" indicator. I got pissed, but after 3 ~ 5 minutes the sick indicator disappeared and this message appeared: "My wounds are clean now." I tried getting the healthy thing again and it worked.

I'm not sure about the conclusions I'm about to write, but that's what I think:
1 - Messages don't appear because the wounds are indentified in sound in game, not in words.

2 - Wounds won't let you get "healthy" message

3 - "Sick" indicator maybe represents the state of pain when the alcohol touches the wounds, that's why it disappeared and my character stopped whining.

i know the reason it was invented to the SA, the question is - are they implemented yet?

if u got several attacks from whom ever, your blood goes pretty low - wich means u need lotta stuff to get the healthy status.

even after ~ 15 zombie attacks we where able to get healthy without alc.

First off, you get "SICK" for a limited time, don't ask me why (I ain't no docta). You get a few messages as time goes by - something like "My wounds look better". Then it'll say "My Wounds are clean now" in green; no more SICK status.

I can't say if it's actually useful at the moment, but I try to use it if I'm not getting the "Healthy" status after filling my gut with food & water.

+ what xBlurHitz said.

The Wumpus said it best.

It does work if you've been scratched by a zombie and you character is moaning.

Just think of the "Sick" status as it working. Like Wumpus said while it's working it will say 2 to 4 times that your wounds look cleaner.

Then the last message tells you your wounds are cleaned.

That and antibiotics have worked every time when my character is moaning.

PS: Just don't drink it by accident! ;)

It's the first thing i look for after a fresh spawn. With never being hit or damaged, I find one, use it, get sick status, sick goes away, I eat and drink, and get healthy status within minutes after the "Wounds are clean" message.

I dont think its working as intended, but its the only way i've found to get my "Healthy" status even if i was never hit or scratched. I have to clean my non-existant wounds first.

I don't know about that?

Getting healthy is easy.

Just make sure you eat quite a bit before filling up on water.

Or fill up on water, then run around for 5min, then eat until healthy.

These work for me every time!
