Rizarai 0 Posted January 17, 2014 So first hello to the this fine community!I've recently purchased along with 3 of my friends the humble bundle weekly which included the DayZ mode for the Arma II game. My other friends are able to create games and join but I am not - it keeps saying that my CD Key is invalid.Anyone else have similar problems or has any solution? Thanks in advance - looking forward to being part of this community. TedZ 424 Posted January 17, 2014 This problem will most likely be a problem regarding the Arma 2 community, or even the Humble Bundle community, i think you should contact them and post in the DayZ Mod Forums =)

tripleopticus 0 Posted January 27, 2014 I had this same problem after purchasing from Humble Bundle. I was able to fix by launching Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhead in steam prior to starting DayZ. I also ended up using DayZ Commander to patch, find servers, launch the game etc. Good luck. Olblindman 0 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) I too, got this mod with Humble-Bundle, and experienced all sorts of headaches, but managed to update thru Dayzcommander and was up and running....BUT, now if i try to play ARMA ll OA.......it opens up to DAYZ. I thought I saw someone else mention this, but cannot seem to find it now. I can play DAYZ, meaning I can join into a server, walk around, then get destroyed by some zombie, all in 3 minutes time, usually. Seems as though that I start with a new character every time I switch servers, and I haven't a clue to the keyboard controls (NEW to ARMA series, also). I'll take any help I can get.....love the concept, but I cannot play worth a hoot! Thanks, Olblindman (OBM, for short) Edited January 31, 2014 by Olblindman
N4v1N 2 Posted February 1, 2014 --A-- Those that haven't installed DayZ yet. You need to load up each ARMA 2 component before you try to install or open DayZ. So...1) Run Steam as an Administrator - ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST BEFORE TRYING TO TROUBLESHOOT GAME ERRORS THROUGH STEAM2) Run ARMA2 (arma2.exe), then exit3) Run ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead (arma2oa.exe), then exit4) Download & install DayZ Commander: http://www.dayzcommander.com/5) Install & launch DayZ using DayZ Commander --B-- If you've already installed DayZ but you can't get it to run try...1) Run Steam as an Administrator2) Uninstall ARMA2 & ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead through Steam3) Confirm all ARMA2 folders are deleted: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead,C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA, C:\Users\[username]\Documents\ArmA 2, C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\ArmA 24) Restart your computer5) Run Steam as an Administrator6) Install ARMA2, then run it once and exit7) Install ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead, then run it once and exit8) Download & install DayZ Commander: http://www.dayzcommander.com/ 9) Install & launch DayZ through DayZ Commander --C-- For those who want to run ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead on it's own after installing Day Z, but keep getting errors try...1) Locate your DayZ folder. It should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ2) Rename the @DayZ folder. The name doesn't matter. So your directory could look like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\DISABLED@DayZ2) Run Steam as Administrator3) Verify Integrity of the Game Cache for ARMA2 : Open Steam Library -> right click ARMA2 -> left click Properties -> left click tab LOCAL FILES -> left click VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE4) Repeat step 3 for ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead5) Run ARMA2 Operation Arrowhead6) If that didn't work, locate this file through Windows search: arma2oa.exe7) You may have more than one copy of this file. Attempt to run the game by opening each ".exe"8) If all of C does not work, proceed with reinstall following the steps in B

N4v1N 2 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Hey there. I have had trouble with dayz commander since i installed it. I keep getting this red triangle error bedsides my mod servers when trying to download. it will start to download. stop. extract. then fail. I just even factory reset my PC incase there was a bad file path. The same problem just occured within 5 minutes of download Epoch. Please help? I haven't seen the red triangle bug in some months. When I did encounter the problem, it was a DZC (DayZ Commander) issue. If the error is DZC side, you'll need to wait for an update. You could install Epoch using Play withSIX: http://play.withsix.com. This is a DZC alternative, & unlike DZC, you can use it to download almost every ARMA mod out there. Your other option is to download & install the Epoch mod manually. Here is the address: http://dayzepoch.com/#install Edited February 6, 2014 by N4v1N
