long respawn, or bug?

Ok, it is probably because im so new and i just dont understand yet, but..

 

When I die.. screen says "you are dead"

 

I his esc and then respawn, telling it yes.

theres a few flashing commands on bottom left and then im just left with a black screen that says im dead.. at this poing i log and join another server. I have waited about 3 or 4 minutes.

 

im doing this wrong huh?

Once dead, ESC>Respawn>Yes>Exit 

 

I don't think it's a bug, but i dont know, but if you do as a said Esc>Respawn>Exit and rejoin you'd have a new character i suppose =)) Always worked like that for me, hope i helped you.

so, you do have to exit the server and come back. that was the question..
