Roshi (DayZ) 397 Posted January 17, 2014 I think that as environmental factors such as temperature and getting wet become added to the game, additional layers of clothing (particularly for the torso) should be added. Layered clothing traps air and acts as an insulator in cold environments. I would love to have a reason to carry a raincoat or poncho to put on over my shirt if it rains, or a polar fleece if the temperature drops. A key strategy for survival is redundancy, in this case having different clothing for different situations.
L-Rick 6 Posted January 17, 2014 If you go in water you get damp clothes after a while and possibly lead to sickness.
AP_Norris 1018 Posted January 17, 2014 You got your naked underwear stuff, then a T-Shirt/ shirt ontop can go jackets/ hoodies. On top of that further could be big things dusters/ Ghillie suits.Would really like to get headwear working differently so people can't have a mask clipping their helmet and things that should probably go together like gas mask and ballistic helmet don't clip. Survivor_Sabre 23 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) If they did this then they would have too make it harder too access the inside layers for your items. For example, having to take off your top layer coat (if it doesn't have a zip/buttons/opening) before you can get at the goodies you're keeping in your hoodie. This would put more emphasis on arranging how you store your stuff, something I have found a little lacking.
