...Some Random Suggestions

I been playing for about 7 hours to date, just roaming - not much contact with others.  Quiet server perhaps

Some of the following suggestions may well be covered already by others, I havn't read other posts in any real depth.  Some obvious ones and hope i'm not too far off track.  Some may already exist.

 

1.) Seems alot of "borrowings" from Arma could be made to improve GUI

2.) Character personality rating good guy vs bad guy

3.) Character stats on title screen (kills, pedometer, time etc)

4.) Potential for multiple characters

5.) Boats, bicycles

6.)Visible bandages, wounds

7.) More random events, loot locations in the wild

8.) Weather (snow??)

9.) Wildlife - (wolves, bear, dogs) hungry, aggressive, rabid....plus all the usual harmless but edible ones

10.) Radio communication - short wave(news from outside world), long range, short range

11.) Full Military map with coordinates

12.) Ultimate Goal? rescue? - random planned rendevous with helicopter - might require some fast moving half way across the map to reach coordinates.

13.) Random recon aircraft (P-3C Orion) - low level pass.  Very occasional.  Atmospheric only  

14.) Leaflet drop?  

15.) Supply drop (all you can eat? random loot of limited use)

16.) Bodily functions (avoid damaging your pants)

17.) More zombie model variety

18.) Potential for more players per server(??) - this may not be best all round

19.) Better movement, combat, wound animations - walking up-hill is clunky

20.)Server preset levels - novice, experienced, veteren, elite

21.) Health and Stamina gauge (novice level only)

22.) Mix it up a bit for final release to disestablish patterns.

23.) A few month post final release - New island as DLC for old hands

Rocket specifically to make a new game with new things, not port millions of pre-made things into an old engine.
2.) Character personality rating good guy vs bad guy
Rocket wants a player driven story, therefore no putting people into groups depending on how they play.
3.) Character stats on title screen (kills, pedometer, time etc)
Kill stat would promote KOS, not player interaction, which is the main point of the game.
4.) Potential for multiple characters
Either get multiple copies of the game or wait for private hives.
5.) Boats, bicycles
These will be added with time
6.)Visible bandages, wounds
7.) More random events, loot locations in the wild
8.) Weather (snow??)
Already rains, snow would require a completely new map for when it snowed so it can be on the ground.
9.) Wildlife - (wolves, bear, dogs) hungry, aggressive, rabid....plus all the usual harmless but edible ones
More animals and hunting are on the way.
10.) Radio communication - short wave(news from outside world), long range, short range
Coming soon
11.) Full Military map with coordinates
This is the map already in game, learn how to use one if you can't find these on the in game map.
12.) Ultimate Goal? rescue? - random planned rendevous with helicopter - might require some fast moving half way across the map to reach coordinates.
It is YOUR story, therefore the Devs will never implement a "endgame" like what you suggest.
13.) Random recon aircraft (P-3C Orion) - low level pass.  Very occasional.  Atmospheric only  
Work on NPCs is currently focused on zombies, no known plans for other NPCs.
14.) Leaflet drop?  
Leaflets of what?

Possible, not confirmed nor has anything been said about it AFAIK.

Planned, certain files already in the game already but not implemented/

Planned

Planned, Devs originally had a goal of 150 per server and this is likely to happen with time.
19.) Better movement, combat, wound animations - walking up-hill is clunky
To quote just about everyone working on this and all people who are involved with deveopment "Everything is place holder at the moment.
20.)Server preset levels - novice, experienced, veteren, elite
Currently the only difference is 3RD person and 1ST person but more changes will come.
21.) Health and Stamina gauge (novice level only)
Rocket wants to move away from status bars. Little emoticons and such will replace typical GUI. Stamina not implemented if it ever will.
22.) Mix it up a bit for final release to disestablish patterns.
We are far, far, far away from release. Think years not months.
23.) A few month post final release - New island as DLC for old hands
Rocket has basically said "No DLC"
24.) Zombie corpses, pre-looted body corpses - random or as part of terrain model

That all could have been found out within an hour of searching the forums. Only that long due to length of list.

 

Also you can edit posts instead of double posting like you did. Just thought you might need a heads up about that. Welcome to the forums.
