DayZ seems suitable for the purposes of recording due to the proper camera angles and the stories they've probably heard so they would try to capture those experiences as well in the sake of whatever they're trying to pursue, that's if it's true. :)

Who knows, very well could be, or if they've got an nVidia GTX6/700 GPU and Shadowplay like I do then they can capture x amount of previous minutes of footage even if not recording. It's pretty cool. Been playing around with it the last couple of days.

 

Now, even if they are recording, how many will actually throw it up on the web? Actually taking the time to clean up/edit a clip/vid is something I know a lot of people saw "screw that" to. I've done it. Laziness wins often.

 

Or they're just trying to intimidate. Bluffing scares a lot of people too (if they let themselves believe it/limit themselves).
