shortys05 0 Posted January 17, 2014 Bought a newer GPU and a SSD cause i was in need of an upgrade mainly for DayZ and a few up coming titles. My Default settings @ 1920x1080 was set to this but so far i havnt really been able to figure out the best combo for nice visuals and strong FPS, at times i noticed i would look at a small town from the outside and get 30fps then turn to the wilderness and get a instant 60! Although 30 FPS felt very much alot smoother then before using a weaker gpu on all minimum settings.Shadows/Clouds we can just turn straight off.I noticed since getting a upgraded GPU the game was alot more blury rather then when i played everything on absolute minimum, so i figured out Postprocess Quality does this, not sure if FPS went slightly down when turning this off or not.Any links or posts that go in "detail" on all the options and settings, most of the threads i currently see either have a few minor CFG changes or start commands to force more cpu cores ect.I7 920 @ 3.8 ghz12 gig ram @1400 mhzSSD Sata II 200+ readSapphire r9 270x 2gbDayZ "Default" settings when i installed today

shortys05 0 Posted January 17, 2014 Quick guide near the beginning of this vid - bout 1min30 in Really interesting config, i managed to go from standing on the hospital in Berenzino at 28 fps to closer 45 fps with these exact settings! The game looked pretty much just as good as ive ever had it looking!Might try the basics here too http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154330-possible-fps-enhancer/
austen.fart@gmail.com 54 Posted January 17, 2014 Just set your graphic presets to Normal. The game still looks pretty and runs smooth
