More zombies that are also more dangerous

Recommended Posts

I think more zombies and making them more dangerous would make the game more of a survival game (and not just a Player vs Player shooter). If the player had to make the choice between fighting zombies, or fighting other players.

For now, it seems to me that players just ignore the zombies and find other players to kill them. I would love it if there was also a need to actually try to group up, play as a team with people you find, in order to also fight the zombies. It would just make the game even more realistic.

My feeling is that, if a situation like that were to ever happen (zombie invasion), I doubt that every human would start shooting at each other and ignore the zombies... For sure some would try to steal from you, try to kill you, but I think most of us would team up against the zombies.

It's all a question of what direction the developers what to take. This suggestion is one possible direction, that I think would make the game even more fun.

There's zombies in SA...?

But really, I believe that's all being worked on .the zombies are by no means a finished product.

Ya probably not, as we all know this is still Alpha. But unless somebody knows what direction they want to take with the game, I guess it's fine to just suggest it. I mean, I was just suggesting that the game does not end up being another simple PvP shooter.

It could be that indeed, they already plan to include more zombies and make them challenging... But I don't know that, so I was suggesting it.  :)

From Rocket's pinned post in announcements:

More Zombies

Target delivery: Ongoing

We absolutely plan to have more zombies. To cope with the current total dynamic entity count of over 10000 we have had to make a great deal of optimizations. If loot is completely removed, we can easily run 4000 zombies in our debug builds. In the new year we will be optimizing the way we handle dynamic objects (such as loot) a great deal more which should give us significant savings - but the change was considered too risky to be done prior to alpha launch. If we had problems, we would have delayed the project further by months.
