The server surfing and the infinite loot...

Recommended Posts

will the character be bounded to a single server in the future, or will the game have a mode to be this way?

because today you can just get to a place that has a good chance of dropping good loot, like a big city or a military base and just keep changing servers and endlessly picking up all the items, or simply change server if you dont want to play at night.

if you manage to get on a military base, for example, you can pick up all the food, drink, weapons and medicine that you need just doing this.

That's an unfortunate aspect of the alpha right now.

The devs have said that they plan on removing the ability to server hop/combat log, so hopefully that comes sooner than later

most people that server hop are very bad at dayz and are very easy to kill from my experience, it's like they do all the work, i kill them and get all the profit.

#1 server hoppers server hop

private hives will lock your char to the server, but i'm hoping they aren't necessary and that the deanteam can make a suitable fix.

i thought about server hopping when the SA first came out, then i realized there are only two things to do in game at the moment, and server hopping eliminates one.
