Lyganesh 10 Posted January 14, 2014 Hey, I don't know if this is already planned, but I think adding foggy weather (of a random density) at random times would be really nice. It would make the game more interesting in a sense that you wouldn't know what to expect, as well as it would make player encounters more fun in various ways.
misce 15 Posted January 14, 2014 I actually really agree with this. I notice that topics regarding the atmosphere aren't all that popular on the forums, compared to "is it worth buying SA?" bull, but it's what makes or breaks the game IMO. So back to your suggestion, excellent idea. A dense fog with very limited visibility, traces of people/zombies moving nearby, and a sudden leaping zombie - pretty good in my book. QbitzR 157 Posted January 14, 2014 AFAIK the whole weather thingy will be redone in a more game-effecting way like temperature / getting wet etc.Fog surely is a great idea since you have to be more cautious while running around and sniping would be merely impossible (i imagine). Capo 323 Posted January 14, 2014 i don't think the weather system is incorporated at all yet, i reckon fog would be in there. should be sick as long as it's not constant, i'm not sure if this was a server mod or epoch, but i remember in the mod there was fog all over the place constantly, 500 meters was the farthest you could spot someone, made overwatch a bitch. lDeel 26 Posted January 14, 2014 Ye add more creepy weather to darken up the atmosphere. :D  PS: I think they did not implemented the weather system yet. But its planned.
Vector636 30 Posted January 19, 2014 I would really like random levels of fog In the Misery mod for the 3rd stalker game they have a couple different levels. I went out for a early morning mutant hunt it was dawn and there was a light amount of fog on the ground and some off in the distance obscuring my long range view. I was moving threw the streams and cattails, as I moved on it grew worse and I couldn't see 50 feet in front of me and I hear a splash to my right I turn and aim my gun for a moment but nothing. I move on and suddenly I can barley see 15,20 feet in any direction and all I can hear are chirping frogs and distant echos of gunfire. At that moment I thought that if this was a game like DayZ it would be insane. If they added things that would really obscure your vision like fog and heavy rain(witch misery also has) it would make a lot of moments that much more intense.
