Hey there!

I wonder if it would be possible (complicated, or simple work) To introduce some minor articles of clothing or attachments, that would help players recognise each other.

I´ll give an example Say you find a red T-Shirt and a yellow raincoat. Tearing them into rags would not create standart rags, but rather colored rags. And tearing those colored rags further would craft them into colored ribbons. Afterwards you could just pin on both your arms for example "red, yellow, red" ribbons, and your buddies would instantly know it was you (or an excellent infiltrator).

Each article of clothing would have an attachment slot (lets call it shoulderpad), on which you would insert your ribbons.

I think this is a reasoneable, realistic, and mostly very simple idea to implement (development-wise speaking). No icons, no playernames, just an article of clothing simple enough to make with your bare hands. + for pros, this would add some infiltration elements into the game.

What do you guys think?

Yeah i thought somebody must have suggested something like this by now... :|

But well in none of those threads there was much about how the system could actually work or using multible ribbons, so at least thats new :3

EDIT: Come to think of it, you wouldn´t have to put those ribbons on your arm, you could put them on your leg, helmet or even gun...
