arcticmoose 4 Posted January 13, 2014 Just going to get right to the point. What if when a player was killed by a zombie (and a zombie only), said player was to turn into a zombie. They would keep their looks and more importantly their loot, free to the taking if anyone was to stumble across and kill this zombie. With this being said, I don't mean anytime soon, just as a possibility for the future. I think it would help with zombie originality and I don't think it would be too difficult to put in the game at a later stage. It would technically still be the same zombie models, just they would have the clothing and gear of the player that was killed. Thoughts? 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The dictionary definition of Zombie is undead, but in this game the npcs are infected but alive. Another part is that apparently our characters are immune. I vote for a lore change! I want Zombies! There are many awesome things you can do with the npcs being zombies and nothing special if they are infected. I do agree though, there are MANY creative things that you could/would be able to do if they were to change that. opethZ I know how you feel, and I'm sure I will get my share of negative reaction, but it's just an idea that was had, and apparently I'm not the only one. Thoughts?Devs have already said that this creates too many server issues to be feasible ATM. Can't find the link and the search on these forums is not being cooperative today. Good idea, though. pa_foster 10 Posted January 13, 2014 One thing I'd ike to see is for them to be toned down a little. Currently they have better eye-sight than Clark Kent and will chase you for a thousand miles! Perhaps if there were different levels of aggro: less around the spawning areas, more and more as you get towards the middle of the game-zone? (The first minutes of survival after spawning are tough enough with all the KOS kiddies camped out there without super aggressive, telescopic-eyed killing machines as well) Frankly don't care if they are infected or Zeds - either works for me in a survival game. If they're infected then how about a chance for them to pass on the infection? It would work exactly as the OP envisioned except that you wake up after falling unconcious as a newly infected player-character. Then your new imperative is to hunt down and infect other players...
