Long load, then cant move when it does load

As per title after waiting a very long time to load the game when I do finally get in I cannot move at all not even turning with the mouse. Can't access gear and I also don't have a hud.

This was across a few servers both US and EU and in each of the servers I tried I wasnt the only one experiencing this it seems.

Any explanation as to what is happening or is playing Dayz tonight not going to happen for me?

It's something to do with the character server, things are broken at the moment

I'm not sure it is, we've found occasional servers which actually work, only problem is they're perpetually full as people don't leave because they don't need to.
