Weekly updates

I know this may be a lot to ask for, but if they can do it for Kerbal Space Program, they can do it here.

Why not a weekly "This is what we're working on" thread from the devs? Just a quick comment to show the community what their money is going towards. Even if it's just "I'm working on getting silencers to work" or "I'm fixing some code problems" Anything at all to show progress rather than out of the blue patch notes.

It gives the community a sense of progress on what's being done, what's being addressed, what people can look forward to, and cut down on a lot of unnecessary threads asking "Whatchya workin on? What's gonna be released next? When is this getting fixed?"

Just don't turn into EA or Kixeye and be like "Lol, we already have your money so bitch as much as you want."

Yes I know there is already a section in the forums dedicated to announcements and information, just a weekly roundtable saying "Chill out, this is what we're working on this week"

See alot of the updating being down right now is literally "Fixing some code problems" and it'd kinda be defeating the purpose of the whole update thing if that's all we see ether-way. Besides i'd rather they just work on what they can at the time rather then having to report back to us every week.

exactly...^

you got what you payed for...a cheap alpha version of a game!

no need for update lists, they already have a roadmap.

try using twitter, you will see a lot of information on rocket's and dayzDev twitter accounts.

adding the task of "what were working on this week" is a waste of their precious time.

Sort of like standing behind someone and looking over their shoulder when they take leak.
