Suspect Wall Hack?

Yesterday me and a few friends logged in at the woods north of Balota.

 

I logged in inside a pine tree, hiding so well that even my friends standing a few meters away can't observe where I was.

 

I logged in, didn't make a move, just look around to make sure it was safe. In a few seconds after I logged in, I hear gunshots were fired from the hangers' direction, maybe 100-200 meters away. We didn't know because neither me nor my friend saw where the attacker was. In a matter of seconds(less than a minute), me and one of my friend got killed.

 

I heard two shots hit me but my friends said it was from a mosin.

 

Anyway, can someone explain this except wall hack? I mean I literally stood inside the tree and there is no way to locate me in a few seconds from distance. 

 

Any thoughts?

Nope ... sounds like they probably just noticed you guys logging in just abotu and then probably shot an arm or something that you couldn't tell was sticking out.

Well, there are functioning wall hacks out at the moment that does not get caught by vac or battle eye (Unless they are flagging for a mass ban or something)

 

So it could very well be a wall hacker. The current multihack i know of, inclues aimbot, wallhack, teleport, among other things (wont mention the most tempting things, don't cheat guys)

 

There is also a multitude of hacks that you get banned for after few minutes of play :)

 

But i do fight with my friend from time to time, and he often kills me when i thought there was no way i could be seen, only to hear over ventrillo "i see a backpack" and dead screen (Also clipping through things tend to reveal me often)

You can not be unseen in this game. The trees doesn't render well over the distance, making you visible. Also people "counter-snipe" the balota hills and apartments. It is actually pretty easy to do from the opposite side of the runway, thanks to those new concrete walls that gives you cover from your six.

 

Also 100-200 meters is not that far that it would affect your spotting. Also if the tree was at downhill, your legs could be visible.

There's another very easy exploit where players can remove pretty much anything from the map for easier visibility... it's known about and I'm not gonna post details :P

I heard next patch was gonna solve that?

Yes I know I could been seen, but the attacker is not on high ground otherwise he would be spotted by my friends.

 

It would be very hard to see through all those trees between me and the attacker, unless there is some exploit of map rendering.

 

Anyway it's good to know there is still active hacking tools. We'll be extra careful next time. Thanks.

Havent seen it mentioned yet, but it should be a simple enough fix and yeah it's been reported to be quite widespread so it should be dealt with soon enough.
