Amount of weapons on the coast

  1. 1. What would you change about weapon spawning on the coast? (Balota, Cherno etc)

    • Remove military weapons, put only "low-tier" weapons (ex. makarov, winchester)
    • Remove military weapons, put "mid-tier" weapons (ex. ruger, enfield, ak-47u)
    • Keep the military weapons on the coast, but make them very rare.
    • Don't change anything, keep it this way.

I would like to see military weapons removed from the coast. Military weapons are the best things you can get in the game, so you would have to work hard on getting them. Instead of military weapons, I would like to see hunting rifles, police weapons etc.

 

What's the point of putting the best gear in the game right next to where player spawns ? It's not hard to get a military weapon in balota, even on a server with 40 people. It makes the game too easy.

 

Military weapons should be really hard to get. We would first have to kill/distract hordes of  zombies (the improved and strong ones) who are roaming around the military base. We wouldn't be able to just sprint through the middle of the airfield, pick up a weapon, and leave, not caring about zombies chasing us. Also it should be very hard/almost impossible to loot a military base with a baseball bat or a fireaxe. 

 

Getting a military weapons should be something that will require teamwork or just a huge skill if you're playing solo.

The reason that we get M4's at balota is that if not M4's then what? The game is in alpha, of course the loot tables are going to change once more weapons are implemented but right now there aren't ANY options.

Agreed, right now the weapons that do appear have a high chance of spawning literally because they're the only chance.. It's only logical that the more you add, the lower your chances are of finding what you want.. Which eventually will force players to explore more of the map and find better loot spots; it's just a matter of patience whilst the developers do their thing, and so far they're definitely doing it well!

I would like to see Balota be a real challenge with zombies working properly and players that do survive have low blood and have largely decreased chance of survival with infections and diseases.

It's a bit early for a vote yet, there are only 2 different rifles in game, of course it's gonna be too easy. 

 

I'm looking forward to large amounts of zombies, amounts that you wouldn't hesitate to use your m4 to defend yourself against. 

 

Military gear should indeed be rare on the coast, but rather than removing spawns, they should make it so you either need to be a master sneak or relatively well geared to even have a chance of getting at them. 

 

if there were about 500 zombies at balota and the ai was decent, you could put the regular spawns back, because the newspawns can try and get close if they want, but they're going to get ripped to shreds the moment they get seen. 

 

500 zombies would probably destroy peoples fps though, so optimize.

Why?

BECAUSE EVERYONE GOES THERE, and it is a great hunting ground for bambi hunters.

This means that you are lucky to get some loot, AND survive, in a populated city.

Only fools go there.

Problem is that zombies are not a real threat at the moment. But when there will be more zombies around the cities and airfields and most importantly MORE DANGEROUS zombie AI, then a lot of "unarmed" players will think twice before going in those areas. Overrun military bases COMING SOON  :D  Thats the reason why weapons from military bases are so easily accessible at the moment.

It's not hard at all. People can sprint into the military building - grab m4 and quickly sprint out. Sometimes they will get killed, but most of the time they survive. I have been to Balota ovet 5 times on a server with over 30 people, and I had no trouble with looting Balota at all. We're still talking about a high population server. What if people search for a 0/40 server so they are the only player on the server and they have nothing to worry about and they can loot whatever they want with 0 risk ? (pretty much what 70% of players do)

But as we go forward and options arise I reckon either Balota military bases go (unlikely given the work put into them), are zombied up to the nines or are militia bases mostly spawning eastern bloc weapons (AKs, SKS, etc) but in poor condition.

It's like people don't read existing threads first before making suggestions or something.

 

Loot spawning is mostly broken.

Loot variety is very low because it's not been put into the game yet/is broken.

Zombie AI is a placeholder and broken. Zombie numbers are very low because the zombie spawning is broken.

Zombies, in fact, are just broken.

Player spawning is mostly broken.

 

It's an early Alpha, most of it is broken.

 

This needs to be stickied or something, at this rate we'll run out of Internet before March.

Then when we get 150 player servers? When spawns will get fixed?

Bad idea over all.

It isn't retarded. Bandits and maniacs go to large cities sometimes to have fun by killing newspawn or tricking them.

You just never stay around to find out.
