Couple of thoughts...and end of mod?

Recommended Posts

Know this is my first post, looking through the threads I didn't see some ideas so if they have been put out before please forgive the repetion.

- Body armor. Although skins are still bugged I could see this being either like a backpack or tied to certain backpacks. For example, there would be a 'normal alice pack' and an 'alice back with armored inserts' that has lower loot percentage. The armor could either improve your toughness (not sure how it works in game) or increase your blood by 50% (not a finite number because if it's a number you may take it off and may die).

- 'Go faster' tape. Essentially a 'tool' when used will make your toon quieter similiar to what SOF use now. Wouldn't effect visiablity issues, nor full up run noise, and would have to be reapplied when you change primary weapons, also it should have limited uses (4 or so).

- Limited number of matches/fire starts. I've only made a small number of fires with toons before they get killed and I start all over again but maybe add an 'ammo' feature to the matches and set it at 10 or so before you need to find more. Not sure if it's worth it but a thought...

For the second half of the thread title. I've read Rocket's general goal of the mod and can understand the challenge but I guess where will it all end? There are a number new items/mod elements coming down the pike and of course hotfixes but does anyone know when Rocket and rest of the Dayz team (other than Rocket himself) will say 'well that's enough for now', has there been a stated end goal that I haven't found? I could guess when ArmA3 arrives (will there be a Dayz for it), when a certain milestone is achieved, when he/she gets married and has 10 kids, or when Rocket starts to get paid for a real job...lol...just kidding Rocket!

Anyway, as I said just wanted to throw out a couple of thoughts and ask when this most excellent ride will end.

Jervis
