capt. beefsteak 95 Posted January 12, 2014 It's getting harder everyday to be nice in Kamy... People are more interested in taking your stuff then being helped.. Ha, it's probably one of the only times I combat log, I just don't feel the need to spray down nub's that punch only to waste my bullets... I don't think it makes me weak I'm just not a confrontational type of dude. If I'm going to kill you, you won't probably know it.. Meaning I pick the people I kill which are mainly bullys and shitbags and do it from a distance.. In SA I do alot more helping and watching. When I come out and show myself it mean's that im gonna help you. I just got done feeding 3 ppl, and giving a dude a compass and showing them all where the water pump was then some dude want's to sucker punch me... How rediculous is that mess, lol.. Still to this day I will continue to help in Kamyshovo. If you run across a fully decked out military dude in Kamyshovo and he give's you some food and shows you where to grab a drink it's probably me. I keep a healthy status on tap though, as well as a ballistic helmet, the one punch knockout probably won't work so well on me... Anyhow, take care keep hydrated, and I'll do my thing.
Ghost43 35 Posted January 12, 2014 When trying to deal with players in this game, it helps to remember that they are not, strictly speaking, people. They are remorseless, immortal avatars of people. They exist in a world that is defined by the equipment in their inventory. Do not trust anyone.

Ghost43 35 Posted January 12, 2014 I've had polite people kill me when my back is turned and I've had a 3-man camo squad bandage me when I was a new spawn, then they gave me a water bottle and then shot me dead. Do not trust anyone.
samwalker1995@live.co.uk 17 Posted January 12, 2014 I feel bad for people that only work on their own! There's good people willing to help or have a chat all the time, You just need to wade through the miles of bad people you find, me and my group always try and help where we can, Sure sometimes people die and mistakes are made, but its to expect in a world where people are starving and desperate for the smallest amount of food. Its amazing/shocking how far people will go given the opportunity!
capt. beefsteak 95 Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) I've had polite people kill me when my back is turned and I've had a 3-man camo squad bandage me when I was a new spawn, then they gave me a water bottle and then shot me dead. Do not trust anyone.I've been down those roads as well man... I'm just saying it's not everyone, I know this because 134 hours in so far tells me so. The issue is for the most part, the guy's that just lost all their shit. I've been killed in every way you could imagine.. but then I've also taken care of business when it seemed I was overpowered.. I think my favorite encounter was with a bandit who came at me at bolata with a magnum when all I had was a 2 hit splitting axe. The guy said "hey stop"I was like "What's up man?"he says "Put the axe on the ground" I do it...Then he says "I need you to take off your backpack".I play dumb and say "What do you mean"he says "Come on man, you know what this is"I laughed and was like "how about just killing me because im not dropping my back pack brosky"he says "I don't wanna have to kill you man"I was like "just walk away then bro"He proceeded to take his bat out, I was like ha! haha, and started running but he did get a hit on me.. I ran around the back wall into a bush and watched him run out into the street looking for me.. He said "what a puss" He assumed I logged out. He was wrong, When he went out of sight I bandaged went back and grabbed my axe.. Then I walked into the prison and found an m4 and a clip or two and tried to look for him, but he was long gone.. EDIT: he had no ammo for the gun. Moral of the story is this game is great lol.. Edited January 12, 2014 by Deepfryer

Ghost43 35 Posted January 12, 2014 Don't get me wrong, I'm not some KOS, lone wolf misanthrope. I'll talk to peeps. Help some peeps, hold up others. Player interactions are a core part of the game after all. But sometimes I just want someone's beans. Or sometimes I'm ferrying prime loot to a fresh spawned friend and I don't have time to chat. That's why from time to time, I like to respawn and run around in my underwear singing the Banana Boat song. No precious gear holding me down...no inhibitions. I like to rest by the shore in electro/cherno, hum to myself and pretend I'm fishing. Occasionally I'll shout gibberish at people like a hobo. But no matter what I do, or how I act, I will not trust people in this game.
hogscraper 328 Posted January 12, 2014 IF you are willing to let a player within punching distance expect them to punch you. If you are armed, just make them wait a few yards away. Drop the food on the ground and back away. I help people all the time and I shoot people in the face that I could have helped because they chose to get to close after I told them to stay back.
