I need help with borderless fullscreen please

Recommended Posts

http://forums.towelliee.com/threads/dayz-borderless-windowed.9256/

Followed every step there.

I can stream the game but the resolution would stay at 75%, if i ever try to change the resolution to 100%(1920x1080) it will change itself back at 75% as soon as i leave the graphics settings screen in the game. This bugs me as the quality is really blurry and bad at 75% compared to 100%.

I've seen streamers streaming the game while at 1980x1020 so i know that it's possible i just can't seem to get it right.

Please help, i 've been trying for days now.

Thanks a lot!

If you're using this method to get windowless fullscreen, you can't go anywhere near the video settings in game or they get hosed. Either play at a lower resolution in windowed mode (i.e. 1280x720) or stick to fullscreen and get a decent streaming app that can handle it.

Otherwise, just get used to pulling your hair out everytime the game decides to revert you to what it thinks you want.

Problem is, you can't stream full screen games, they need to be fullscreen borderless, and that applies to every game that is full screen :\

Well i made some progress.

Two ways:

Using BorderlessWindowed (http://www.mediafire.com/download/jnsslpz2wl7yjf8/RemoveBorders.rar)

start the tool first and make sure you already have DayZ in there and set it to auto, then start the game.

the game will be at whatever render-quality you had it set to but also be borderless

BUT, the mouse will be off, meaning you have to aim your mouse higher than usually to interact with buttons etc.

The other method is using DXWindow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/)

this one is risky because it only works if you add the game and add the option "use DLL Injection"

Battleye and VAC might detect that as a hack and ban you for it.

also you have to make your game start in fullscreen-mode for this method

But aside from that it will work perfectly.

I am already using borderless window.. and my resolution keeps going back to 75% for no actual reason.

No matter what.

I really need help in understanding why using that borderless window program will still set back my res to 75%.

Dunno about the second method.
