Can't take my gun out

When I spawn in no matter what I do I can't take my gun out or put anything in my hands, I can't even mess with my inventory, I need some help otherwise I'll probably just get killed by some guy who sees me as an easy target.

How's your ping to the server? It might be that.

Often when I join a server, and have problems manipulating things, it's down to bad connection.

I don't think it's ping, but bandwidth. I always play on <80 ping and get the same issue sometimes if the server+nr vicinity is busy

One of my friends had worse ping then me and had no issues and all the other people in my teamspeak channel also had no issues, so it had nothing to do with desync.

I've had this twice in the last 2 weeks. It is NOT desync. 

 

It's a bug that persists, tried multiple solutions and loads of servers. (mostly low ping, low population)

 

The only solution I found is to log into a server with about 20 people in. Ping seems irrelevant. If it happens you can still play with your inventory, but you can't see what you've done until you log in next time. So don't play with your inventory. Try to select an item. If that doesn't work exit server and try another.

 

Eventually you'll join one that works and the bug goes away...for a while.

 

 

P.S. when this bug occurs you can still be hurt by zombies, but you won't see it happening, if the server has this bug for you then don't spend too long there. Good luck.
