this was the first time I found a "red" hoodie that when I put it on was pink on my body... what's up with that?

I thought about that, too ... but that's why I asked here - hoping someone else has had a red hoodie while being female? Or maybe a pink hoodie while being male?

All the red hoodies I've came across were red in description, and red when I put them on. I don't play as a female character, so I don't know if it's the same for them as me. Who knows? Maybe Rocket is trying to make things pretty for the ladies of DayZ.
