LlamaDropkick 1 Posted January 11, 2014 I'm new to DayZ, and somewhat new to PC gaming in general. I feel like this is going to get a few a-hole responses, but I really just would like to know, what exactly is teamspeak and where can I download it? I'm looking at clans to join and all of them require it. Just hoping for some real answers.

Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) Teamspeak commonly referred to as TS can be dl'd from here http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads match it to your system. You will want TS3 as that is most commonly used. Lamens terms its voice chat in which teams/clans can host their own voice servers and have you join them. Edit: Further more once you have it downloaded you will want to use the add a bookmark function from the Bookmarks tab on the top of your screen. This will allow you to enter the name of the clan you are joining aswell as the ts address into a bookmark and save it. Once saved in bookmarks you can constantly rejoin that clans ts or others you have come across simply by pulling down the bookmarks tab and choosing the different labels you have assigned them. Hope this helps, Steak. Edited January 11, 2014 by Steak and Potatoes

They can be locked or opened depending on the use and who they want or you want in the chat. Very useful for clans, just google it.
KnightFall1856 24 Posted January 11, 2014 Not a silly question at all. Team Speak is one of many VOIP (Voice over internet protocol) programs. A quick google search can lead you to it. Other options available are Ventrilo, Mumble, Raidcall, and the list goes on. HIGHLY recommended as it makes coordination much easier. Good luck friend
