I lost all my gear after my game froze

So I was looting and found myself some stuff , and I went north for some weapons .... I was just next to that military base near Vybor and I was taking screenshots to show my friend dayz at night with clouds and without...and at some point my game got frozen , so I alt f4 it. when I loged in I lost everything and I was spawned on coas again....AND THAT WASNT EVEN THE FIRST TIME ....and then y friend tried to do the same thing and his game got frozen also , and He lost everything as well! ... 
anyone having the same problem ? what is the cause?

That cant be it . I played on same server for 4 h and changed and got this..

Leaving once, and coming back before the game can save your chacacter results in joining as a fresh spawn.

Well ty Zeet u helped alot , I'll try coming back on server with some delay (1min ) and will post here if it keeps doing it again
