Bug through wall from second+ stories = Dead

I have been having difficulty with one thing in particular. I spend a good hour or more gathering items getting stacked up and healthy and while looking for items I glitch through a wall from a second story and die. I enjoy the game but not when I spend time getting well off and lose it for some crap like that. Is there any way I can get my last character back please?

You can also fall through the floor in the apartments. (The ones with climbable elevator shafts)

My two deaths so far have been because of glitching through walls in second story apartments and dying. Unfortunately both times I've had decent equipment, however I've been avoiding those buildings.
