Lancer 2-2 14 Posted January 10, 2014 The M4A1 was problem chosen first to test the attachment system out. As this is Alpha it may change and we might find western weapons restricted to helicopter crash sites with more soviet style military grade weapons in the army bases with civilian style soviet weapons scattered around the map. Who knows at this point?
rybo 171 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Lol, you can't even own an AK in Russia..Well you can but it's harder than getting a fully automatic here in the States. I know Russians. As for what should be in game? Its a US occupation so M4's at Mil camps. Ak's at bases. The country side gets bolt actions and shot guns with a chance at some semi auto. Also you should have the chance to find military weapons in houses too. Criminals always have best guns. Edited January 10, 2014 by RyBo
beani5003 28 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Think the OP is just a little slow at understanding things lol Not at all, I'm just pointing out that 'IT'S AN ALPHA' isn't a good enough reason to justify things that aren't bugs and are pretty obvious if you sit down and think about it. They made M4 first, because it was a good platform to test this modular system. There isn't even a final word that it will stay in the game, as we do not know the list of weapon as the game launches. I agree that M4 is a little out of place, atleast it should be semi version, but at this time, it is only a testing platform. And what comes to "ruger being american"-argument; It is one of the most widely used .22 rifles there is. So maybe somebody in chernarus bought one? I'm from Finland, and i own Benelli Nova, american gun. Believe it or not, we don't only have weapons by Sako or Valmet. So why there wouldn't be a american weapon in eastern europe? I Agree with you on the point that AK should have been the first, as i love that weapon. Mainly because it is the only AR i've ever used, and quite possibly the only one i will ever use. e: AK-74, SKS, Ruger 10/22 and doublebarreled shotgun (normal and sawed off) are confirmed weapons at this state. I'm not doubting that they exist in other countries, Hell you can buy one in Britain, albeit a highly modified one that conforms to our wacko gun laws. Who knows at this point? Well, as we have been told jock shit of specifics of whats going to be in the game, a vague 'extra weapons' doesn't count, its hard to tell at this point.Like i've said about 5 times now, i understand why they put in a modular weapon into the game to test the attachment system, thats fine, but my point is, why a M4 in a Russian country when there are modular russian weapons that would be more common than an occupation forces weapon? hence why I said that they are pandering to the American players, rather than sticking to the authentic thing that Rocket has said he is aiming for.
