Dear Godz of DayZ....

Recommended Posts

....I understand that this world is still in its Alpha dayz of creation, but there are a couple minor issues that I'd like to bring to your attention.

During the course of my insignificant life, I have killed numerous zombies, evaded multiple zombie stampedes, survived bandit attacks, not to mention some very unfriendly weather conditions. Getting eaten by zombies or getting murdered for my bottle of tylenol and tin can is annoying, but tolerable given the onset of the Zed Apocalypse. However, low crawling through a field of flesh eating zombies only to break my leg as I try to crawl into a shed is almost more than I can take. How about surviving the several mile trek to the nearest city only to be ambushed by a zombie who breaks my leg in one whack. Upon managing to kill him, I crawl into the firehouse, figuring there'd be some sort of first aid supplies there. Nothing on the first floor, so I drag my useless legs to the stairs to climb up and check the upper floors. Somehow, I spontaneously begin bleeding when I try to crawl up the stairs. You can imagine my confusion as I have selected a male character and am not used to the concept of bleeding for no apparent reason. So, I lay there and bleed out because the one bandage I had was used after the initial zombie attack.

Please look into these disturbing occurring and please advise.

Regards,

Tired of Dying for Dumb Reasons in Chernarus

Improvements are being released rather quickly, and this will happen with the current dayz code. Only options: Tough it out or wait it out.

I used to see this happen quite a bit but recently haven't noticed it. I've crawled up and down ramps, across railroad tracks, etc.... I do much more crawling now than before too since the z's have been "upgraded".

Yah I attempted to vault some rubble and ended up bleeding, knocked unconscious and having a broken leg. Bad times, especially in NW airfield where the sound of your screams is the dinner bell for the zeds.

Most of these issues are not directly related with Day Z. Day Z is a mod for ARMA 2(I try to say this in everyone of my post until people get in their heads). Most issues come from the engine.

Nothing more frustrating than avoiding a town full of zombies only to break your arm or leg in a door. I usually crouch to walk through doors and up stairs now, and prone again once I'm free of any magic bone-breaking devices many call "Doorways".

I think you sure are a very funny guy to hang out with and chilling around. you sure do a lot of funny jokes just by explaining something even if you don't mean it funny.

I usually crouch into buildings every time and I am fine. Also quick question, have you downloaded the most recent Arma2 Beta Patch? Just curious if this helps or not, I'm not sure but since I've downloaded it I've been just fine.

I do have the most recent version of Arma2 Beta patch.

I usually do crouch when going through doorways and into buildings, but I was desperately trying to avoid being seen by the zed that was walking my way looking for someone to eat, so I guess that one was my fault.

The spontaneous bleeding issue when trying to crawl up stairs couldn't not be avoided as I had experienced an issue commonly known as broken legs. I blame zombies.

Haha

I had the same issue...I was "fiddling" up and down when I tried to get upstairs with broken legs and bleeding, pain, armor break and all possible debuffs happened.Bandagin a wound helped me to break this stun.

XD The bleeding joke, very hilarious. Yeah that should be fixed before anything else, ANYTHING! Also a broken limb should only have a chance to happen after the THIRD OR FOURTH ZOMBIE HIT within 5 minutes.

Whoops. Thanks for clarifying.

Agreed, take the bone breakage down a notch, and the Mike Tyson knock out punch Zeds.

Yeah...these zombies seem to be in really good shape for being dead, half eaten, rotting and brain dead. Fuck steroids, get infected.

Speaking of.....if people want PvP, give us the option of going zombie after being attacked and attacking survivors or dying and re spawning as a survivor. lol
