TYS 25 Posted January 10, 2014 Hello everyone on the forums,Just a new idea and I would like any input, suggestions or ideas. Also if you are 'high up' and would like to see this idea actually implemented into the mod it would be greatly appreciated if you could contact the current devs on my behalf and let them know. OK now onto my idea..In one of the recent patches they implemented infected survivor camps into the mod. I was looking at images/videos of the camps and noticed some objects from vanilla ArmA 2 such as the tents, blue water drums etc. I was particularly interested in the tent models. Below is a link to a class object library created by ArmaTechSquad for a better view. The image of interest is the one titled "camp_us1". http://www.armatechsquad.com/ArmA2Class151656165165341654165165165165f/A2/Objects/compositions/ As you can see it looks similar to the infected survivor camps. Now I am suggesting that the current tent model (look at the image "camp_ins1") does not fit the feel of DayZ. It is a camouflage tent and looks very military. I am suggesting that the DayZ Mod Devs change the tent model from "camp_ins1" (camouflage) to the much more appropriate civilian style tent pictured in "camp_us1". They need not change the packed tent if they do not feel the need. I just feel that DayZ is meant to be more about surviving using mostly civilian gear (common) with the occasional discovery of military gear (rare). The drab green camping tent I feel fits this as a much better alternative to the military/camouflage tent. Maybe they could still keep the camouflage tent but make it a rare loot spawn in military areas. I mean its smaller and has camo.My two cents guys, please feel free to let in your ideas and if you can, push this along to someone higher so it may be implemented in the future.
