This game is quite simple really, how I see it is that you have two choices!

 

 

Option 1:

Login, loot for a 2 hours kit up then go play how you want

 

Or

 

Option 2:

Login, loot for 10 minutes find an axe then kill the guy that's been looting for 2 hours :)

Naturally, since then you'll get all the loot he had acquired in the past two hours.

and get ruined loot... maybe picking one or two scraps of undamaged loot from his corpse.

 

I hope ruined is going to mean a lot more stuff just doesnt work anymore eventually.
