In-Game Video Settings?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have purchased the game lately and my PC specs are Radeon 290 4GB, I7 3770 3.4GHz, 16GB RAM, Z77X Motherboard with the game loaded on a Samsung Evo SSD.

I understand that the game is Alpha, I would just like to know what settings I should be using in-game to get a decent amount of FPS on 1920 x 1080 resolution.

I can't see my hardware being the issue and with Day Z being in Alpha state and unoptimized I guess I should be able to run the game at maxed out settings sometime in the future? I really do not know. I have watched a few Youtube videos with Day Z configurations and people are switching all the settings to disabled and low. I really can't see my hardware spec needing to go that low to fix the FPS issue.

I have spent most of my time in-game so far just tweaking graphic settings but trying to keep them as high as possible. I'm just having problems settling on them. On the software Fraps I was getting 60+ FPS in some places and then in the Cities and sometimes in the houses it was dropping to 20 FPS and felt laggy. Are there any stable settings for high end computers? As the ones on the web seem to be running low/normal for low spec machines.

Thanks for any help.

Nope. Unfortunately, at this moment, we just have to deal with low framerate sometimes inside any city. Sorry.

Do a quick Google search, there's guides out there for further optimization (at a config level).

60+ fps is pretty good for SA!

with further optimization you can dial in those 20fps lows for sure.

Sit in a field and click every option systematically in the graphics settings and see how to max your fps/look good.

also the config/launch params optimization are great for getting the last 5 or so fps.
