Need help...Lag?!?!??!

Recommended Posts

Hello, DayZ Forums!

I would like to know what would be the best optimal settings to run DayZ SA on.

I have a:

EVGA GTX 660 Superclocked

16gb of ram

Core-i7 QuadCore 3.7gHertz

Desktop

For some reason even running it on the lowest settings in ANY town makes me lag when I look at buildings.  I would like to know, is this happening to alot of people and what the best graphics structure for my system will be.  Oh and if it is happening frequently, is it going to be fixed sooner rather than later?

Kind regards,

Floppy_Rabbits

Thanks in advance!

It's probably down to it being alpha,

Dayz mod ran nicely for me, and they said that the SA would be better optimized,

I know strugle, I say give it some time.

these lags are serverside try different servers, empty server should lag less.
u can do:

disable post processing (blur effects and some HDR)

disable ambient occlousion (most of HDR, shadow and Color Effects)

disable anti aliasing

(best improvements)

set objects, terrain and shadows to normal (draw distance of grass etc, detail of shadows)

your game won't look ugly if u still have Texture Detail at high and the Game Resolution at 100%
