Hunger/Thirst vs. day/night cycle

Recommended Posts

I really like the idea of the day/night cycles matching the timing/duration of actual day/night cycles, however I feel that if this is going to be the case, the hunger/thirst duration should be somewhat more realistic.

Traditionally people eat breakfast/lunch/dinner, that's 3 full meals in 24hrs. In the case of the DayZ world, you would likely need to eat/drink slightly more frequently, as you are exerting yourself a lot and consuming smaller amounts of food/water.

However as it is currently, I feel like eating/drinking is required *way* too frequently to seem realistic based on the "real" day/night cycles.

Just my $0.02.

I agree with you, you have to eat/drink way too fast when your traveling, perhaps drinking is realistic since you're running and stuff, but eating - I don't think so..

You're running kilometers at a time carrying ~30kg worth of stuff (on average), surviving on cans of food and water and never having a full meal ever.
