surv0 0 Posted January 9, 2014 Can DayZ be run in 64bit mode? Currently I see it runs in 32bit which surely limits memory usage. I would like to make use of as much memory as possible. Maybe the 64bit is still to come?
gray-z@hotmail.co.uk 84 Posted January 9, 2014 Yup, would be nice, unfortunately you are limited to 2GB of ram usage right now. But you can set up launch parameters to increase this value in the steam properties of the game. This worked wonders for Arma 2&3 but didn't see that much of a difference with SA. Any difference I think is there may be placebo
surv0 0 Posted January 9, 2014 Yeah I think the 32bit parameters override the launch string setting ram to 8gb. This is not working as far as I can tell.
Slite 7 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Yeah I think the 32bit parameters override the launch string setting ram to 8gb. This is not working as far as I can tell.Dunno what is true about DayZ SA, but at least for Arma 2 this is what goes:-maxMem=<number> Defines memory allocation limit to number (in MegaBytes). 256 is hard-coded minimum (anything lower falls backs to 256). 2047 is hard-coded maximum (anything higher falls back to 2047). Engine uses automatic values (512-1536 MB) w/o maxMem parameter. And no matter if it's hardcoded to 2047 or not, 32 bit maxlimit for adresseing memory is 4 gb. hefeweizen 254 Posted January 9, 2014 Would be the best 64 bit game since Golden Eye. Not sure it would fit on the cartridge though...

faramon 66 Posted January 9, 2014 I honestly some how misread the title of this as Dayz in N64 ... like some one had made an N64 screenshot xD ...
